This measuring jug was developed as part of an ongoing collaboration with BranQ, a Polish manufacturer of household plastic goods. Since 2018, we have worked together on a number of functional and accessible kitchen products.
The design explores the expressive potential of a simple, utilitarian object. I wanted to create a form that feels calm and fluid — something that resonates with the nature of the liquids and ingredients it is meant to measure. Rather than relying on graphic or structural detailing, the project aims to achieve character through continuous surfaces and soft transitions.
The jug has a gentle, organic silhouette. The handle grows seamlessly out of the body, and the spout — minimal and almost unnoticeable — emerges as a natural continuation of the form. This approach reflects my interest in soft minimalism: a design language focused on restraint, softness and subtle emotion.
The shape was refined through numerous prototypes to ensure both visual coherence and functional clarity. The final version is made from BPA-free Tritan, with a soft-touch TPU handle produced via dual-shot injection moulding. Although driven by industrial constraints, the design seeks to transcend them — to feel effortless, rather than engineered.
This is a quiet object. Modest in appearance, but carefully considered — meant to become part of daily routines without drawing attention to itself.
